Bios update problem

i have a HP computer with a A7N8X-LA mobo and i downloaded a BIOS upgrade for it at hp.com and now when i start my computer it is just black. i called hp support but since my computer is 2 years old they wont help me unless i pay $75 even though there website said it was a critical update. i want to know if there is a way i can fix this by myself before so i dont have to pay them.

As with any decent flashing (is that possible? ) you should have made a backup of the current BIOS. Load that back up.

how do i load it back up when the screen is just black when i boot it up?

If you know the exact commands for flashing that BIOS or putting the old one back, you could create an autoexec.bat file on that floppy with those command in it.
Check on the manufacturers website or check your mobo-manual.
The PC should still be set to start from floppy.
You cannot afford to make typing mistakes, so check and doublecheck before you set off "in the dark".
