Blinking cursor on startup

I have posted a couple of questions about this problem, but it seems nobody know what the source of the problem is. Not sure if its a lack of members or if my problem is one that requires professional help, but if someone could help me out with a link to another forum where someone has posted the same issue or just flat out tell what the dill is, it would make me very happy. Start fresh... Install the drives properly, Master, Slave and reset the CMOS. Make sure the bios detects the drives correctly. Install the operating system once more. You are running XP and not Linux right?

Sorry bout the double post guy I mean no harm. But yes Im running XP and I'm in the process of starting fresh and I'll post when done.
