How would I do that? Also do I loose all my files if I do that?

Yes you will loose your files so back up what you really need to save... You should do this on a regular basis anyway, before your computer crashes for good

I knew you were going to ask that question... You can't back up programs, without cloning the whole C drive, but you can save pictures, documents, email, and videos to a flash drive or burn them to CD's, or DVD's. Do you know how to copy and paste?

Yes, I've saved all the files I need. Just don't know how to "clean install windows"

Do you have any Gateway recovery options when you start the computer... hit F2 or something?

If you can, try doing a Factory restore... if that option is available, and it functions
