BSOD persisting after a factory reset

Do not use the 3rd party driver program in the above link.(Driver Talent) Always get your drivers from the manufacture.
Sorry I had forgotten that was in that link.
PS It's not looking good. I hope you have a back up image. I hope you don't have data on that drive that hasn't been backed up.:D

Hi OK! Sorry! Don't mean to be grumpy. There's no telling how long that will run or if it will complete! Here's link I found.

PS This is a new one to me. I have never seen this problem before. Let me know how things go. I'll be gone for awhile, but will log back in later.;)
I wasnt telling you that it was stuck, I was telling you id have to wait till that finished to give you some information you asked for, because I had started that without reading your new comments first.

It never got stuck, those just take a good while to complete, I was just saying that since I had done that, I couldnt just stop the process, and so it would be a hot minute before I could give the information you were asking for.

Hi I'm back! Did the chkdsk complete? If not it's possible you have a bad hard drive.:'(

I prefer the seagate hard drive tester.
Let us know how things go!
At this point ive pretty much concluded that its a hard drive problem. The chkdsk did complete just fine, everything works fine, but when I open steam and start a download, looking at task manager, my disk shoots all the way up to 99%. So it still confuses me. Ill run that drive tester you posted, and im also going to replace the hard drive with a new one and see what that does, cause why not.

Im almost positive that its a hard drive problem, but before I go and buy a new one im just gonna run a few other tests that I find working for other people.
There have been times that my Windows "clean installation" media has not been good and I have surprised myself with fixing all of my problems by downloading and creating a fresh DVD. We are very fortunate that Microsoft provides ISO copies free for a download ( https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 ). If you were using an older version, you might find this useful.

If its a problem with the hard drive, call seagate tomorrow or during the week and explain the whole problem to them.

If your hard drive isn't old and you built your system midway in 2015, you might be underwarrenty.
Have your dad make you a iso out of this and let him run it, it make take 6 hours or longer depending on the test.

I know you are reinstalling and you probably don't want to hear the word reformat and reinstall again.
I recommend a level zero fill hard drive test with a complete scan verification from it.
If the tool finds any errors it'll let you know at the end of the test.
