I dont beleive there was anything on there I really need backed up, but yeah I still have it all anyway.Do not use the 3rd party driver program in the above link.(Driver Talent) Always get your drivers from the manufacture.

PS It's not looking good. I hope you have a back up image. I hope you don't have data on that drive that hasn't been backed up.

At this point ive pretty much concluded that its a hard drive problem. The chkdsk did complete just fine, everything works fine, but when I open steam and start a download, looking at task manager, my disk shoots all the way up to 99%. So it still confuses me. Ill run that drive tester you posted, and im also going to replace the hard drive with a new one and see what that does, cause why not.Hi I'm back! Did the chkdsk complete? If not it's possible you have a bad hard drive.

There have been times that my Windows "clean installation" media has not been good and I have surprised myself with fixing all of my problems by downloading and creating a fresh DVD. We are very fortunate that Microsoft provides ISO copies free for a download ( https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 ). If you were using an older version,you might find this useful.
