I just swittched from Verizon DSL (miserable service) to RoadRunner cable.
Since the Verizon DSL/router/wireless box is mine to keep, I want to use it with my cable modem.
I was able to configure the Westell 327W box and connect to the internet through the RoadRunner cable box
However, any webpage you type, takes you AUTOMATICALLY to
"activatemydsl.verizon.net" and this iswhere I need help.

How can I disable this inside the Westell 327W DSL/wireless/router box?

Obviously Verizon programmed this to make the use of the box with other ISP impossible

Thanks for any help

It is verizon's router. You have to take it back. Sorry.

But it never hurts to ask RoadRunner to have the bios reflashed under their name.

You are correct about the router being yours despite what anyone tells you. Just try to find someone at Verizon who will accept your return.

I just completed the changes a few minutes ago and am surfing on Road Runner through my Westell 327W without the problem you are experiencing.

I found my answer at the following location:
(seems the site won't let me post a url since I'm a newb)
Maybe I can be sneaky:
The site is dslreports,
it ends in .com,
next is /forum,
then /remark,13756566 (include the comma before the number).

Hope this helps,
Bob
