Certain videos no sound w/ Windows Media Player

hi..

i'm using windows media player version 11 to play my video files..

however, certain .avi files which are played have no sound at all.. and these files are usually the ones which requires windows media player to acquire a certain codec..

does anyone know what i'm lacking to be able to play the sound?

Try installing the K-lite codec pack and see if that helps.
