Changing name of previous owner

I have a Sharp laptop which I want to give to somebody else. I have changed the name and erased the password successfully on the startup menu. All other items I thought I had gotten rid off. Unfortunately, on a closer search I see that under c drive\Documents and Settings there is a folder with the former owner's name. I see that it is the default folder. Im wondering whether there is a simple way to change that folder name to something other than that or do I still have to do a full reformat and install to get rid of it?

Yes, the simple way is to reformat and reinstall Windows and the drivers. There are other ways, but they are not simple.
