clusters of bsods

I have a client's computer that had a cluster of bsod's in July and August for about a week.

The computer is a dell workstation xeon 3.2 with 1gb ram. AFIK it has the latest drivers for all hardware. I have run checkdisk and recreated the paging file. (that solved it for a while)

A new group has started in the last few days. Some are logged, some are not.

Those logged seem to point to drivers, but i have been unable to figure out which drivers.

I am almost to the point of a complete wipe and reload.

The last two minidumps are attached. I have also started speedfan to monitor the voltage and systernals debugview to monitor the crashes.

Anyone have a suggestion?

I will get back to this board late this afternoon or Saturday evening.

thanks

tim

Hi,

The problem is related to bad paging file or hardware error of hard disk which resides the paging file. Define the paging file at another hard disk may resolve the problem.

Thanks cpc2004

sorry it took me so long to get back to this -- the client has not had a recurrence of the issue. After posting i re-created the paging file and "defragged" the drive again.

Being related to the paging file might explain the apparent randomness of the problem.

I have another computer that is exhibiting similar issues except that it is logging errors to the raid array. Unplugging and reconnecting the SATA cables seems to resolve the problem for several months.

I will try that solution on this computer and see if it helps this one as well.

cheers,
