Computer Not Booting

Hi, My Dad has just built his own computer, He tried turning it on but only the fans worked but we then relized that you needed a 12V Power cable for your CPU so we got that done and now The Drives Work, The Power Button Works and the basic stuff like that but we are not getting a picture on the monitor, We have the 8800GS graphics in but could this be a fault in the graphics or something else

You didn't connect the 12 volt CPU cable while the compoter was on, did you?

No i didnt, I know what im doing there but it was the boot up, but i have fix it now anyway, it was a RAM error, I put some of my Spare RAM in from my other machine and it booted up and my dad was dancing with joy LOL hehehe
