MY SPECIFICATIONS:

Windows XP SP2,

AMD Athlon 64bit processor 2800+ 1.81 GHz
Asus K8NF4G motherboard
448 MB Ram (doesn't detect 512 MB)

2 years of exhaustive usage

thanks for ur time....

the error code sounds like a video card problem. is it an onboard video? btw this would explain your 448 mb of 512 mb = 64 mb shared video memory.
try to find the latest whql driver and try again.

my two cents

I think thats the board because I didn't find it at asus.com
but...
the link you posted states this:

EXCLUSIVE ASrock K8NF4G-SATA2 NF4 integrated graphics board (nVIDIA GeForce 6100)

correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't that mean onboard graphics?
I am not much into desktop pc's....

cheers, mscrx

Sorry, my mstake, I couldnt see a vga connector. It must be hidden below the other sockets.

yes, I don't see one as well but its in the text:

it comes with integrated NV44 DX9.0, PS 3.0 and a max shared memory of 128MB.

which also confirmes my shared memory theory :)
