Hi all,
My neice is having a nightmare with her computer. It runs so slow that it barely works sometimes. I have taken a screenshot of the Windows Task Manager Process screen.
I would be grateful for any advice.

you cant see all of the processes is your screen-shot, however 45 processes is not an exorbitant amount. whats the virus/ malware protection like on this machine? and are you talking about internet access being slow? or applications? ...or all of it? also would you post the specs on this machine?

well after looking at that, a couple of things leap to mind. The first is limewire, maybe the biggest virus/malware problem on the planet.
first things i would do is to install,update, and run malwarebytes, that can be had here.

and make sure you update and run the AVG I see she has installed.
if she is running limewire, i would not be surprised to see a couple hundred hits from Malwarebytes.
