Ive been using my new graphics card for alittle over a month
& its been working fine no problems

Since about a week ago whenever i play games that require
good grapics Doom 3, Halo etc.
My computer just completely shuts down or just freezes after about
a 1/2 hour of playing i think its overheating but i dont know for sure

I check my CPU temperature in the BIOS & its at 40-43*c
so it cant be that

Ive got a Geforce FX5700Le 256mb on a GA-K8NS Motherboard
with 512mb Kingston DDR RAM & a AMD 64 3000+
with two aditional case fans for cooling

how can i tell if its overheating or is it another problem?

any & all help is greatly appreciated

If its just games that cause problems, then it sounds like your video card isnt receiving enough power (since games push video cards to the limits).

I suggest you try a more powerful Power Supply. 400watts should do the trick.

Before spending $$$, you should run memtest for a good hour to make sure your memory isnt stressing during gaming.

Go to: www.memtest.org (bootable FD or CD)
