Computer turns on suddenly after shutting down

Hi!
I've got a problem:
Sometimes (not always :approve:) when I turn my PC off, it suddenly turns on again. It's a bit anoying, although the computer itself works fine. So, I have to plug it off every time I turn the PC down for me not to have to turn it off again.
Well... Does anyone know how to fix it or what may cause it?

I have a
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6000
1 GB x 2 DDR2 - 800
Asus P5K-SE
XFX GeForce 8600 GT (XXX Edition)
WD 160 GB SATA II
Pioneer DVR-212D
SevenTeam 420W
Creative SoundBlaster Live! 5.1

Thanks!

Either it's faulty power supply or you just need to load setup (CMOS) defaults (which will put the power options back to the default settings)

When you first start your computer, you'll see a prompt to go into CMOS (ie Hit DEL or F2 or some other key)

In there just load setup defaults (or optimized defaults)
Save and Exit (or just press F10 function key)

Test again

I loaded the defaults, but the problem persists.

Do you know any way to test the power supply without a motherboard?

You mean by checking the voltages
The only issue is that under load these values do have a tolerance factor, which means they could change. (That won't help)

Normally I just try with a known working one (which may not help you either)

Here's the best option: BenchTest
