Computer will not boot

I have just got all the stuff to build my own computer. Everything is put together but when I power it on everything turns on, power supply,video card,cpu,hard drive,and dvd drive but nothing happens it does not beep or anything. Also the hd light in front is always lit can anyone help I would really appreciate it thx.

Double check your work, your cables, and your connections, after going through the motherboard manual slowly and thoroughly. You have likely missed something. Nearly all of us have done this in the excitement and frustration of a build.
