Computer won't boot

Hey everybody, I've got a real problem and need help!! my kids computer just suddenly won't boot. This is how they explained it to me, they pluged in there phone in the front usb port to charge it, as they have many times before. They said the computer froze up in a couple of moments. They hit the reset switch and it never booted after that. I took the system down to my work area and plugged it in to a different monitor just to check that possibility out. All that happens when I hit the start button is the computer starts up but the monitor light never changes to green and I don't hear a boot up beep sound....simpley nothing happens.Everything is running, but nothing is happening. I need guidance and serious help......Please! What could be wrong?? I would appreciate input as soon as possible

A quick fix:

Remove all power source (the power cable basically)
Hold in the ON button for 30 seconds
Put the power cord back in
Turn on
