computer wont turn on when i connect my HDD

when i connect my Barracuda 7200.7, 120 gig hard disk and try and turn my computer on nothing will happen. i have tested it one three more computers and it does the same thing.

could it be wrongly set jumpers mate?

nah i checked all that.

does the HDD power up at all? or spin up?
IDE or SATA?
Maybe faulty..

it will not do a thing. it will just sit there dead. its an IDE.

wow.. then there's your answer. Send it back for a replacement... Seagates got pretty good drives i can tell you that.. you might've been one of the unluckies..
