Concerns with Slipsteaming

  1. Took ur advice and slipsteamed my windos O/s, using "nLite". Iv'e made a restoration disk with SP2 intergrated. The problem is when i try and restore using the slipsteamed disk, it won't let me proceed. I'm a bit reluctant to Format the HD. I'm concerned about the Slipstream not working, and my original pre service pack disk not being recognised.[IMG]

you are correct; reformat should not be required.
sounds like you failed to load all the OEM drivers for your machine into the slipstream i386 directory

go to the OEM website (eg HP, Toshiba, Gateway, ...) and go to Support or Downloads.

Usually there's a means to enter your make/model number.

the drivers should be there for downloading
