Crossfire Question

I found a great deal on an X1800 CF Edition card (~$300 CDN) and i was wondering if i could drop 2 of these cards in and still correctly use crossfire? I know CF needs a master & a slave but could i run a possible master in "slave" mode?

I was searching for a vanilla X1800 card for my second, but everything i find is >$400 which seems stupid to me because my CF cards are better then the plain ol' ones.

Although, I am not too educated on Ati's Crossfire feature, I know you need an external wire to hook one of the card into the master to run correctly.

I tried both, and you cant contact ATI for technical info, only sales, and tech support
