Crysis 2 PC multiplayer demo now available

The game requires you to create an account and log in, but I can't seem to do neither. It says my email address is already in use, but when I try to reset my password my email is not recognized. The support site is no help and nothing seems to be working properly.

I know this isn't exactly the right place to be asking for answers, but I just needed some feedback since the game's own website can't help.

It was alright. It is a mix between halo and CoD though. I think I'd rather see some focus on a different game type. I liked fallout/borderlands and something of that nature with some in depth multiplier (like an mmo but constantly getting new/mortified guns instead of lvls) could be amazing.

The update is interesting. I guess the focus was on getting the console version out, so DX11 got postponed. Although another way to look at it is that the DX11 version is a lot more complex, so is taking more time.

Disappointing, it doesn't even feel like Crysis IMO. It's like when hollywood takes a good movie and makes a second hype fest turd burger... MAXIMUM DERP.

it really does feel like a mix of CoD and Halo. The multiplayer is also missing the HUGE maps we all expect of crysis. I'm sure the graphics will be better on PC, but will the maps be designed for console or PC? I will be mad if both the multiplayer and singleplayer maps(mostly single player because that is where all the fun is with crysis) will be based around console hardware instead of PC.

I have to recommend playing it to anyone, it is a lot of fun. I wont be able to afford it at release and the demo has a lot of replay value. Not like my 8800GT can handle any of the good stuff, I don't want to spoil it.

No DX 11 on launch until first patch .... OMG CRYTEK .... is this punishment for some ***** pirating your game or you just could not get it out on time. This game was supposed to be the reason people buy DX 11 hardware ... Unfreakingbelievable .. WOW

Crytek, that really hurt :( No DX11 support at launch? I thought you were putting more effort into the PC version? sure the lighting effects etc... already are better but I wanted some of the snazy effects in DX11 from day ONE! not a couple of months down the line, although that means I can complete the Story in DX9, then have enough money for my new Graphics card and then enjoy it in all its glory :) although I have done some googling on this subject and it sounds like all the DX11 data is going to be there for the launch but the DX11 .exe won't run because they are waiting for NVidia to release a new driver that actually uses DX11 properly. At least thats the story I seem to get on a few websites.

Still getting this though, just to follow the story if anything :)

...wow , at least I don't have to be worried about upgrading. I Was planning on waiting till the summer when I had more time. I can't believe it is going to be $60 too without the stuff that makes crysis crysis...and there's no royalties to be paid with EA pocketing the extra $10. Maybe it is better to put off buying it for a few months and wait for the price to drop(and DX11). Crytek, you are disappoint.

Well, I have to say I'm very impressed with it so far. :D

A little buggy, but then its not the final release, so can live with that. Took 2 attempts to register an account, then log in, and forever to find an available server to connect to (not Crysis' fault its so damn full!) but was worth the wait.

Its absolutely fantastic once your playing - a real improvement over Crysis in my opinion. Even took my GTX280 quite happily at full HD res (40-60FPS), which I'm frankly amazed at.

Not happy that us European people have to wait an extra 3 days for it though!! That is a joke! :(

Lack of DX11 support at launch is definitely a big shock and disappointment. I hope Crytek doesn't take forever to patch it in, as I really expected to play single-player with all its glory on launch.

Same here, I'm having major issues with the demo and I downloaded it right after midnight on the first. There site seems to be constantly down and it took me forever to make an account. In the demo itself it said my e-mail was already in use, but that wasn't the case since I created an account on MyCrysis site. Sadly it still wont let me log in now claiming my username contains invalid characters which it doesn't. I would post on the forum too but it's constantly timing out which leads me to think they are overwhelmed.

Regarding the demo, from reading around here I'm sensing it is very much like the 360 version. I played that for a while and it didn't feel anything like Crysis. Like others here I felt like I was playing some Halo/CoD hybrid. I wasn't overly disappointed by that since I cared more about the single-player with Crysis but now with a lack of DX11 that has changed.

I have to say the biggest thing I'm looking forward to is the single-player aspect of the game. I've played it a few times this evening and I do have to say I found it very Halo like.

I say Halo like, but the last time I played that was the first release on the first Xbox, which was frankly years ago - It felt exactly like I remembered that though, but in the same sort of "wow" way I swear I must have felt back then as well.

Wow, I am impressed. I downloaded the demo yesterday and barely stopped playing since. Not having DX11 on release is bummer but this still blows COD out of the water.

in regard to FPS

I have GTX 470 stock clocks w/ i7 @ 2.8ghz and 6gig ddr3 RAM.

@1080p w/ hardcore settings no AA I get 45 - 60 fps sometimes down to 35 with alot of stuff going on.

@1080p w/ advanced settings WITH AA enabled I get 50 - 60 fps through all action.

@1080p w/ gamer settings WITH AA enabled I get constant 60 fps through all action.

@1080p w/ gamer settings no AA i get 75 - 100 fps through all action.

remember the PC demo is only DX9, hope this helps.

Well I hope the actual version and single player is much, much better than this. It looks like a console from circa last year.

Wow is all I can say. This demo was obviously a half arsed attempt at shutting PC players up. If this were my first intro to Crysis I would not buy this game based on this demo. Now the demo for the first game,,,THAT was a good one,,, one that made me buy the original. Now the demo runs great, much more consistant fps this time around, but that makes sense since the graphics are no where near as good as the first. The servers are a joke right now as well. I spend about 15 minutes searching for a game that will actually start. Most games are stuck in the lobby(this could be a server host issue though) The biggest slap in the face is no DX9 at launch. And for the guy saying we shouldn't comlpain about it....NO WE SHOULD!!! They know what PC gamers want, and to tell us we will be wowed with this game AT LAUNCH and then blantantly not give it to us is a slap in the face. I was holding out on purchasing Dead Space 2 to get Crysis 2,,, but not any longer. I've already had enough issues dealing with NFS:HP being a POS until they patched it and still had to find a work around for that and I will NOT pay full price for a half @$%ed game launch. If they couldn't get DX 11 ready for launch date and the issues I'm seeing already with the servers, my money will be going nowhere near this game until it is patched properly or it hits the bargain bin.

It's a pretty good demo.
Having high ping seems to be an advantage tho and shotgun is just horribly underpowered, even at close-range.
