I would be extremely pleased if you could perhaps let me know if you're able to help me, my intentions are extremely genuine. Otherwise i guess i'll be stamping on the HD as i've already pulled my hair out.

P.S A quick response one way or another would be superb, otherwise the user gets a new HD but loses a lot of data (we even got the ***** a 2gb pen drive for back-up purposes, but guess what....he forgot to use it).

Master password for Latitude D610

Hello Rustam or somebody else who can help ;-)

I hope that you still can provide me with a master password, please ;-)

I bought a Latitude D600 on EBAY and everything worked fine with one exception:the WLAN functionality. This one was disabled!
When I wanted to activate this function in the BIOS I have been asked for the master password. I'm pretty sure that my laptop Dell Latitude D610 was not stolen but the former owner was not able (or willing) to provide me with the master password for activating the WLAN functionality.

Can you please help me...

The service tag number for this laptop is T9LN75K-595B.

Thanks very much in advance for your help and for your time spending with this annoying stuff.

Best regards,

Erhard

It simply means that samihmila started a new thread for this subject and I merged(moved) it into this one.

Help Me Mighty Rustam!

PLEASE HELP ME - i have enjoyed reading the pages of posts praising the wisdom of rustam and now plead my case.

i'm a texas holdem poker player (by night) and a computer / network tech by day. a poker buddy asked me to check out his laptop cause it had a password. "sure" i said and have be miserable ever since.

i am not even able to enter the bios because of the password. i have tried everything conceivable to remove this pw and finally came to the conclusion i would have to start thinking "outside the box". So i googled it.

i tried the latitude program and it keeps saying "incorrect password". but i figured it would since i had read your post about the 595b's.

I do have a degree in electronics but am kinda hesitant about trying the short-circuit trick. (something about "may render the motherboard useless" kinda sets off a red flag). so u are my last resort, rustam. please save one more laptop life by helping me with my pw. i really dont want to perform surgery on this pretty lil notebook.

Alot of help needed!

Hey guys,

I've looked everywhere on google, and have come to find out the Inspiron 4000 does not have an admin password generator.

Laptop: Dell Inspiron 4000
The Service Tag is: F9NLG01
When it gets to the white screen, it shows: #FIELD**-595B

Now the story...

I went to goodwill looking for decent electronics, and stumbled upon this laptop. It did not include a HD. That doesn't matter though, because I cant get pass this white screen!

Anyway, Thanks for any help you can give me. I might try to short circuit it, but I am deadly afraid because i've never done anything like this before, and because I'm not computer savy. Once again, I appreciate any help! Thanks!

Phillip

Inspiron 4000

Your Inspiron 4000 is a hardware clone of a Latitude C600. The EEProm chip is hidden on the bottom under the sheathing. This model is a real pain in the anus to access the chip even with the board just breadboarded, but in bootable condition. I have done 2 and I cut a hole in the sheath after removing it, then cleaned up the metallic debris and put it back on. Then I hooked up an external Keyboard, Monitor and AC Adapter, and did the shorting/grounding to clear the chip. I have picture saved of the location, but it is too big for this site's allowed attachments.

Hi rustam! [by the way your mail account is full] // or who else could help?!

It is so great that I found this thread and you - being able to help with Dell Master Passwords for the Administrator BIOS Password.

I have a real problem with my current Dell Latitude D610 what I recently received from a former colleague, who left our department. I somehow feel disabled with my "baby", not having full access. The main problem is, that I would like to install a bigger harddisk, and that I would like to communicate via Bluetooth with my mobile phone. But this function for example is disabled :-((.

The thing is, that the ex colleague who left us, somehow must have changed the pass, what was known before. Another guy who also already worked in the bios on this machine provided a password, but this didn't work. I would be so grateful if I could receive a positive answer from you.

Here my data:

It was really so good if I hear from you!

Many thanks and best greetings, Thomas!

If you will go to this site and download whichever version of the DST software you can use, and then run it to delete and then reset your Service Tag, you will find the Admin/Configure setup Password has been erased. It is not necessary to burden rustam with this type password removal. Grey screen Primaries and Harddrive Passwords, yes, but not this one.

@ paragon

thanks! but what I need is the admin password inside the bios, so that I can change values in there!

Not the one for the grey screen and not for the harddisk (evtl. later...)

THANK YOU - still in HOPE for rustam!

I still need the one for my 610, the guy wont take it back, said it worked fine when he gave it to me :/ Why does everyone have to be so evil, ya know?

You should listen as that DST software is for the Admin/Configure Setup Password within BIOS, not the grey screen or the HDD passwords, and is simple to use

please help!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello rustam, I am new to this website and I recently bought a laptop Dell Latitude model D600 from a garage sale.I noticed the laptop was asking for an "Administrator password?" I asked the lady that sold it for the password but she told me it belonged to her husband who sadly passed away and so she did not know it(go figure?). I thought I could get it unlocked for a few bucks but I was sadley mistaken. I was desperate so I did a web search and ended up here. I read many reviews and posts on your miracles. So if anyone can help me im shure it will be you. My service tag #3VQ3X31-595B. I beg of you please help an old fool out or any info you can provide will really help me. As you know Dell will not help me and I would hate to throw my money away. I know nothing about pc's and I am desperate. I read about the chip shorting method but I just don't dare to open the thing. I'm no computer wiz, with my luck I might blow the thing up. Please..please help.
Thank you for your time.

Yeh I understand that, as long as the service tag is still showing on the laptop then the DST software will clear it and then allow you to reenter the same tag thus clearing the password and keeping the same tag....

If you read the info text supplied with the software then it tells you how to use it.

If the tag is not present on the case then simply set the admin password then you will get a grey screen at power on ,this states the service tag in full, simply write it down and then unset the admin password...

Regards

@ IdidMy

I just was on the page and saw the softwares. But I am a little bit afraid of using these things deleting the tag and so on... I really would like to have no risk!

The next thing is the boot ranking list. The first is the hard disk and this rank is also protected by admin password in the bios as i saw it...

So really the best thing would be if rustam can also help me with his magical master admin passes for the bios. I really hope so much that he replies soon, because also the wireless lan is switched of and i cant use it. Thanks a lot!

Here again my data:

Thomas
If the harddrive is first in the boot order, use the F12 onetime bootorder to override it. The DST software deletes the Service Tag, but immediately prompts you to reset and verify it before you reboot! You can also pull the HDD out to keep it from interfering with your booting from peripheal drives into DOS if the one time boot order does not work. If the peripheal drives are also disabled, use the DOS only bootable Harddrive method with a spare HDD. I doubt that rustam will help you since you are jacking around with your company's laptop.
