DVD drive won't read Vegas 2

Hey I have recently bought rainbow 6 Vegas 2, but my DVD drive wont read it. Though it has read before. But every time i insert the Vegas 2 disk it wont always read. The auto play wont come up, and the Vegas 2 icon wont show on the DVD drive. But most games will show automatically. Someone please help, i love this game and i want to play it again....

Are these games on CDs or DVDs? I suspect your DVD drive may be failing.

a couple of them are on DVDs for example San Andreas works fine, though when i put in Vegas 2 it will start loading and trying to read the disc but then eventually nothing happends.

If all other media you put in your drive works except for R6V2 then it might be an issue with your disc. Is it by any chance scratched badly? Try to clean it to see if that helps, if you have some serious scratches just search around as there are a plethora of guides online.

It could be just the disc's copy protection. Can't copy the disc if it doesn't work on your machine

Yeah i thought about the copy protection, is there a way i can trick the disc into reading without buying a new dvd drive?
