Emachines m6811 vertical lines

Hello ,
I have an Emachines m6811 and I have a problem with some weird vertical lines that I cant seem to figure out. I plugged it into another moniter and the second monitor had the exact same pic with lines and all . any suggestions ? Thanks ......SCOTT

Most likely the video card or the integrated graphics adapter. Did you recently update or uninstall the graphics drivers? If the computer is older (sorry I'm not too familiar with eMachines), the video card or integrated graphics adapter may be going bad. If you have another video card lying around, you could try installing that if it's the right bus type and see if that fixes the problem.
