ive got an old systemax with an ami motherboard, amd athlon 700mhz and a voodoo3 vga graphics card.

i installed a new graphics driver for the card and then i restarted the computer.

it came on nothing on the screen the floppy drive made some noise and then it beeped. i unplugged the floppy drive thinking that was the problem and restarted again. it turned on beeped 8 times(which means graphics card error) paused and beeped another 8 times and repeated itself over and over.

is there any way i can fix this w/o buying a new graphics card?

To get the video back and stop the POST errors you will have to swap the video card with another... There's no way around this. I keep several old PCI video cards (S3 and Trident) around just for this type of problem. Those old voodoo cards were very picky about the drivers they liked

ok thanks, i need to go get a new one for my new computer anyway. i hate that integrated stuff
