If I wanted to find out how to fdisk my hardrive to put a clean install of windows xp do you know of any sites with instructions for this

You might as well google for "fdisk instructions"..

Basically, you run fdisk in DOS mode, delete all the partitions fdisk shows you, then recreate them as you like.

If you are going to do a clean install of XP, why not just use the formatting options built into the install program? It will ask you if you want to completely format your drive and install XP onto it. It's probably easier that way as well.

I found out about these forums thru searching thru google for answers ...I would have to say this has been more helpful than any search page..Its nice to know that there are people out there who will take the time to look for questions and give them the answers they are looking for or great advise on where to look for the answers.
