Fedora Core 7 Installation Help

I've recently downloaded Fedora Core 7 (Took 75 hours!!!) now that's finally done how can I install it on my 2nd partition without it altering My XP partition ... (Dual Boot XP/Fedora) ? Plz Be elaborate ...

It's about Red Hat Linux 7.2, but it's basically the same (Fedora Project was started when Red Hat Linux was discontinued).

It's probably easier if you have just free space on the hard disk, not an empty partition, as you'll most likely create at least two partitions ( / and swap). Personally, I prefer to have /home on a separate partition as well - that way no user settings / data are lost in reinstallations.

And there's no Core in Fedora 7 anymore :p
