Floppy storage hell.

Having an issue. Bought a new floppy drive 'cause mine died abruptly. No go. No light. Propt "Insert disk in drive." Nice idea but its already in there. Read some of the floppy nightmare on the site, so I checked my connections. Nice. I love a good mystery. Love is so misunderstood.

3.5 inch floppy. Any hint would be much appreciated. Running XP. Worked before. I'll go on tuesday to get some new cables and see if it's that. Any hint at all.

OK. So are you absolutely sure you connected the floppy cable the right way? The connectors are not always keyed. And you did try with several floppy disks, right?

Maybe it was your floppy controller that died instead/with the floppy drive?
