Formated my external. Please help me recover my data.

Take a look at "ZAR". I have not used this software personally, but I've seen it recommended multiple times so I assume it's decent .

any free data recovery software should do the trick, provided you haven't overwritten the HD. Bear in mind, the longer you wait, the more difficult it is to recover due to the fact you might overwrite some of the files.
