free ad blocker?

recommend a good free ad blocker.

Ads, banner, flashes are making my surfing speed slow. I need an ad blocker but I dont have money. is there any good but free ad blocker?

imho the best ad blocker (which is also free) is firefox 2 with the Adblock Plus and Filterset.G Updater extentions installed. it blocks all ads on web pages and firefox blocks 99% of pop ups

however, as Rik mentioned, if you have any malware on your pc it could cause pop ups to, well, pop up

If you use Opera browser,you can just right click on a page and block

any content you don`t want.It remembers your choice,for future visits.

Firefox has an add on called Adblock plus. This blocks all images you don't want showing.
