WTF?! While it probably won't improve your KDR, this motorized gaming bed allows you to play games, eat and sleep in the same spot. One of its selling points is that you don't even have to waste energy adjusting your posture.

After launching a gaming bed and a gaming mattress, Bauhutte just revealed its latest foray into the gaming furniture market, a motorized gaming bed.

While the BGB-100FA essentially looks like a stripped-down hospital bed, it can be combined with some of Bauhutte's other gaming solutions for a more cohesive look and added functionality. The Bed Desk can be attached to the foot of the bed and used in conjunction with multiple monitor and tablet arms and even an overbed table for your mouse and keyboard.

The bed weighs 37.9kg and measures 199 x 94 x 13.8-28.5 cm, as the legs' height is adjustable to 13.8, 20.8, or 28.5 cm during assembly. The included remote allows you to independently adjust the backrest angle up to 60 degrees and the leg rest angle up to 35 degrees.

While this product might seem slightly ridiculous, it could prove useful for people living in a studio apartment where having a separate desk and bed might be unfeasible. It could also be suitable for someone with limited mobility, as it would help them get in and out of bed more easily.

The Bauhutte BGB-100FA bed frame can be had for 59,800 yen ($481), while a bundle including a matching gaming mattress will set you back 87,375 yen ($703). Bauhutte regrettably doesn't plan to sell its gaming bed outside of Japan.

If you're interested in gamer-oriented furniture that's more readily available, check out Ikea's massive collection they developed in collaboration with Asus. There's also Acer's $20,000 motorized gaming chair, the Predator Thronos, in case you're looking for something even more absurd.

Because of the stereotype and because of the way they're marketing this I expect people to just make fun of it without thinking about it, but from seeing products like this remember that while they might be aimed at just lazy folk they're also fairly useful for disabled folks and people with mobility issues: This is basically a fancy hospital bed after all and for good reason.

Good points but while it may be a hospital type bed...it is not fancy

No judgment here as to people enjoying themselves, my concern is that just doesn't look enjoyable to me. Put one of these; plus a regular desk with keyboard; plus a couch with controller in the same room and I bet it gets essentially no use after the first five minutes.

I guess the only question that remains for "dedicated gamers", is whether or not this contraption will fit down their parent's basement steps.

When I saw "motorized bed" in the heading I initially pictured something that drove you around your house under its own steam..

Funny, I don't see 'dedicated' in the list of synonyms for 'addicted'.
The company is dedicated to feed that addiction. Calling out the addiction would be bad for business. They are dedicating this to the niche to the ultra addicted. lol. The concept is not new There are motorized reclining massage with heating gaming chairs one made by Acer under predator branding and a vanilla one called Emperator on Amazon for $3500.

With microwave and tons of ramen? Cripes talk about an early death

Someone needs to make a VR game where we run from Grizzly bears on a treadmill. That would be entertaining and get that heart rate going too

Sure, anything can be anything else... if my grandmother had wheels she could've been a bicycle.

So it's just a futon combined with one of those various height adjustment beds.

And looks about as terribly uncomfortable as a futon.

They took a hospital bed and painted it black. It says a lot about whoever buys it.
