Gartner forecasts less PC sales, more semiconductor

  1. Reassessing the PC market's performance, Gartner has released an updated 2010 forecast that is lower than previously expected. The research house predicts that PC shipments will grow by 15.3%, which is 2% less than earlier estimates. "There is no doubt that consumer, if not business PC demand has slowed relative to expectations in mature markets," the firm said.

    LOL...I would hardly call a 15.3% PC growth a "bad" thing. There isn't a company I know of that wouldn't love to have annual sales growth like that.
