GeForce2 mx 200 problems with XP

Hi there, I have recently upgraded my OS from windows ME to XP Pro Sp2. Recently I tried to play splinter cell, as soon as the game starts it freezes up, I tried to play half life, same thing, I can get to the game menu but when the game play starts it freezes. The only game that works (and only for a few seconds) is call of duty. I have the latest drivers from nvidia and the latest directx. I have tried using the previous drivers with no change. These games worked fine when I was running windows ME, any help is appreciated.
