Hard drive not working right, please help

Hi, I have a reversed ATX tower, and I'm OCD and like my hard drives on the right side of the case. There is one HDD slot on the back (Foreign case), but there is a short in the cord or something, and the hard drive won't work when it is on the right.
Any ideas?

Just replace the HardDrive cable, that's it !
