Hi Guys

I was thinking of having two monitors as my graphics card supports two but i have had a look at the back i have a connection for vga which is what this monitor is on then i have a dmi or other connection for another monitor, do i have to by a converter two have the other monitor on?? Also what are the benefits of having two monitors can you have different programmes on the different screens?

I have a nvidia geforce 6200 256mb 8xagp graphics card.

Thanks

all u would have to do is buy a second monitor and have the right drivers for u're computer, i mean graphics card.

If you have a monitor already on the vga connector and then want to add another vga monitor on it you would need to get a converter to be able to plug it into the dvi port. After that all you would need to do is make sure you have the drivers in there and turn on the second monitor in your desk top properties.

Thanks for the replys have you guys any links where i can buy the converter?

so youve got a DVI port eh ?
you can get dvi to vga converters online

i just searched google for "DVI to VGA converter" and found
aria tech do one for £2.10

so theyre pretty cheap

tho i find having a dvi cable is very handy .. but youll have to have a DVI port on your monitor

if your looking for a perfectly good quick cheap fix then dvi - vga converter :D
