Having issues fake update msgs

out of nowhere i started getting recurring msgs regarding "sonic activation module"

a window would open reading " please wait while Windows configures sonic activation module" then that window freezes, another window then apears on top of it saying " the feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available".

I ran my spybot and avast (unfortunately i dont have any of the results at this time)
and the messages seemed to vanish for a very short time.

When they returned it was the exact same thing except it stated that WordPerfect 12 was the problem.

I just removed WordPerfect and ran spybot again and now i am back to the sonic msg

I have limited comp. knowledge so pls bear with me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Spybot is a junk program, with few good effects.
Run these four:
Windows Security, Avira Antivir, MalwareBytes, and SuperAntispyware.
Once run, you will have a more realistic idea of any problems on your computer.
