help i cant seem to install the sims 2~~!!!

ok i have this problem , i just got the sims 2 on black friday(2 days ago ) and its brand new and everthing, so as soon as i got home i tried to install the sims 2 onto my computer, and ive been trying ever since,

and it always goes up to 22% on the first disk, and says a problem occured while trying to transfer file D: blah blah blah(the file name) from the media do you want to retry or cancel

please please help me coz i really want to play this game!! :approve:

Have you tried to use the cd in another cd drive? Try to go exchange that disk for another copy as that copy could be bad?

no nooooooooo this cd is brand new and it has no scractches on it !!!
