i have decided to get a amd 64 3500+ but idk which core to get a lot of reviews say venice but what advantages will that give me?

thanx

The core will determine little other than cost and how much heat it produces. The only factors really worth considering, UNLESS you plan to overclock, are clock speed and L2 cache size.

The Venice core is supposedly a little more forgiving of mismatched memory, but if you are reading these forums you know better than to try and use mismatched sticks.

Also Venice, along with Winchester uses the newer 90nm processors which are smaller and cooler. As long as the processor you are getting is 90 nm, you should be golden. Of course, as SH mentioned, if you aren't overclocking it's not vital to get the 90 nm, but for the cost minimal cost difference, why not get one of the cooler versions?
