clip trick works fine on Latitude C810. (EDITED because I can't post a quote with a link) guide of Fastback68.

I tried it for more hours last night than I care to mention :(,.

When I short the 4/5, or 4/6, it tries to start then turns itself off before the loading screen finished,

When I short pins 3/6, it will show the load screen, loading bar, then after that the screen will flicker black, load screen will come up again for a brief second, curser left/top corner blinking, then the computer will shut off.

The chip I am shorting is under around where the X key is beside the cd drive, and has on it 24c02w6. I am using the diagram in my sig for reference.

Well, I can't send pm or links,..

So my problem is still not solved, help would be great thanks. Champ was suppose to send me something but I have yet to receive it

Has anyone managed to get a Dell Inspiron 1720 Master Password reset? Ive not seen anyone on here mention this model.

I am getting a JZ31L3J-595B code and I dont know the password. I have read all the posts about the master password reset programs (The Program doesnt work for 595B errors) and the paperclip method, But im stuck.

I've also tried the DST boot CD but cant get it to boot without getting into the CMOS and that throws up the password.

I had the laptop in bits trying to find the chip to short, but alas cant find it as there are many simlar chips. The Laptop is now put back together.

Can anyone help?

Need password hp xt6200

hi i hope you can help me retrieve my password for hp xt6200 hash code [ 06062] thank you very much

Hi danidap
Does that guy cost money? (I think yes!)
And what about Dell themselves? (as they are free)
There are other posts here stating that Dell can help (although there may be a delay)

edit:
@danidap I've noticed that in your only two posts, you have stated the same email on both occasions
So you don't have any other advice it would seem?

edit#2

I notice that danidap email post has been removed, thanks to Moderators
.

its kinda funny to see some guys doing the advertisment of somebody who makes money with other guys problems.
if you ask me I think all of them is the same guy, him. there are plenty of newcomers posting nothing but ads. its a shame, really!

to all gurus. you guys don't understand. 90% people who ask for password have stolen laptops. other 10% have laptops which don't belong to them. and 100% of people purchased or bought locked laptops for small money. so, what's so surprise, that every man, who knows, how to unlock laptop, wants some money???? cheap cheese is only in mousetrap.

and more things. password theme is dirty theme. and all servicemen understand this. btw, recently i talked with this guy(email removed). as he told me, he repair laptops, so hi's my colleague :) i'm ready to give him working drawings for IR-station, absolutely for free, and this can bring to him much more money, but no unlocking software, because this is taboo.

raybay, what do you mean? i unlocked not so many dell laptops. 4 or 5 laptops, AFAIK. my main job is not to unlock laptops.

lamo you're right but what bugs me is that guys come here and offer service for money which is against the forum rules. they got warned and sometimes banned but they return with other names and advertise for themselfes just as some posts before...

I am also looking for a good solution around this topic but not for personal gain. I think I already told you that. I also think that this is just one other cat and mouse game. somebody makes something secure and some guys knock it out and again and again and again...

don't get me wrong but our discussion is an endless story and I am sure not 100% are stolen or illegal. I know alot of case where laptops come out of a leasing contract and got sold cheap because they are passworded. if somebody hasn't got much money and is not into illegal things they would be very thankful for help!

anyways, this is a free place and everybodies opinion is welcome!

cheers, mscrx

that's what i'm talking about. these laptops are rest 10% from all locked laptops. and i'm 100% sure, that people who got it payed much less money. but again, they forget, that "free cheese is only in mousetrap" ;)

C400 Password

I have a C400 latitude.
I can not get by the admin password.
st is 31NRC11-595B
I have tried to short out the 24C03 chip .
I either end up during the boot with a hung system that clears itself when I remove the shorter to the gray screen.
or it just gets to the gray screen.
I have tried every combination of this short I can
No luck.

Are there any other approches I can try?
Will I need to install a new chip.
If a new chip is needed, what is the procedure for it?

thanks in advance
Mac

Hello,

I was on the 20 days safari tour in south Africa. Now I am back home but don't remember my password on laptop. The following message is appears every time on screen.

" The computer system , # 7CRQB3J-595B, is protected by a password authentication system. You can't access the data on this system without a correct password.

Please type the system or administrator password and press <Enter> "

Can any one help me....please

battery wont work but yes, there is a jumper on all optiplex boards. it is marked with PWD. turn computer off, release the jumper, turn it on for the post screen and off again. then place the jumper where it was and turn it on again. password should be gone.
