you can better instal a new version of windows or try to download
hirens boot cd.you can reset whit this tool the login password

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! That download help save my sanity... LOL! I now have my laptop up and running! Now all I have left to do is place my service tag back. Does anyone know of a way to do this using a CD file and if so which one or do you have to use a floppy program?

I have a Dell Latitude D620 and i am getting the gray screen of death i need the password for this computer. i have opened it up and looked for the EEProm Chip for something to short out after reading the “read this before posting thread”, I have had 0 luck. any help would be appreciated. I looked for images but no results, and found the pay for unlock services but being in school really has a strain on finances.

the only way is call dell (or buy a password) there is no other way to unlock it.

Well, there is luck, and prayer, and remembering where it is in the bottom of your sock. Or just replace the motherboard, which is sometimes less costly... or buy a new or refurbished Dell.

purchased a used dell inspiron 1501' missing a keybord and face plate (part that has start button and name of latop) along with no powercord etc etc long story shorter' got those parts now new I need the system password and bios password' when I hit F2 it asks for password
? any help would be greatly apreciated' I am very computer illiterate'

Do a search for the many password problems for Dell laptops on this forum... There are nearly 1000 of them. You may find it discouraging with that model.
Best to send it back to Dell or to one of the experts in this forum for repair.

i think the only way is contact dell or buy a password to unlock it

most Dells with 595B service tag don´t need an expensive password.
