i have a dell d430 that also has the prompt for password (This computer system, *******-595b, is protected by a password authentication system...etc). Is there any way to get past this?

I saw people earlier talking about connecting pins on a chip...if this will work on my model where can I find info about how this is done?? thanks for help

dell's with the -595b extension I think must be shorted then reset. by the way anyone know where the chip on a Dell 8200 is to short and what number pins?

Best and fastest way is to register the computer with the manufacturer, wait 21 days, then contact their technical support for a paid fix. Not many are actually fixed any other way, and a great number are ruined.
 
We don't believe that shorting out the 640m or the 1405 will work. Period. We have not found anybody who was successful using that method.

IE keeps launching pop-ups

I'm getting all sorts of popups launching in IE whenever I do anything associated with the internet. I don't even use IE, I use firefox but IE keeps launching time after time with spamvertisements. I ran HJT and looked through the files... I cannot however delete some of the files I'm suspecting are culprit cause they are in use. Tried the HJT deletion util and no luck. Killbox, nada. It won't even allow killbox to reboot my system, it gives me a message that it's been stopped by an outside program.

I've also run Spybot S&D, Windows Defender, and Adaware...

Hi mate,
I bought this laptop from ebay and been using it from last 6 months. Now my son was playing with this and it is admin lock now there is gray screen asking for password. I called Dell but I dont have the actuall buyer information so can't get any help from them. It only give me This code#DXRTH1J-595B can you please hlep me as you the man who can crack this.
