Hi, I posted a problem with my Dell Inspiron 600m which had its bios locked...

I finally removed the bios password with paper clip method (tried at least half hour shorting the C4205 jumper) .. Thanx Obi and you all.. here is the picture of the motherboard for Dell Inspiron 600m for future reference.

Now it shows that my hard disk is locked with number #5900*****-595B..any help will be greatly appreciated

If you can boot from anything, use DST software. Both work fine on Inspiron 600M.

Hey folks got another fookied system this one is an hp, after incorrect password attempts I get 00007, the next time I get 00023 this is for the HDD im able to access the bios is there a gen prog for the hp drivelock?

Looks like I may have found some salvtion. I just off of a phone call to HP and they informed me I have no solution available to me at all including sending the laptop in to reset the BIOS Password. I recently deleted the password instead of disabling it and now I am hosed.. LOL.

Any help would be appreciated.
