Not exactly a "technical" help thread here presently (or generally)
All information has already been posted, so that's why the linking continues
Pretty sure the only thing that is "extra" helping, is when some members
do provide (possible) passwords, which is always highly appreciated (even from me, and I don't even own a laptop!)
If you did want technical help, like step #1
do this... etc. Then I'd help all the way.
But here's the ongoing issue:
I recieved a private respnse recommeding a pay service. as recommended in this forum over and over i was thinking a pay service should be my absolute last resort.
Is this the way i should be looking at it or does a lot of people end up having to use on of these services?
So what's the use of this thread?
Although anyone can pay the multitude (really hundreds) of "pay services" from just doing a quick search (outside the
free TechSpot support) They post here, and get a PM from someone (unbeknowns to me) and are then, all of a sudden, not interested in being helped freely (if possible) I therefore have no option but to treat all posts as just a waste of effort in trying to help, until I have the power to remove members that are only here to make a quick buck!
By the way, I'd say I closed about 90% of those old threads (the other 10% already being closed) The member you spoke of,
did help technically, but he just decided to stop, and then do the non free PM idea !!, and then decided to stop that too (at least under his name) So be it, if he doesn't want to freely help others, that's that.
I still believe this thread has the potential to be the best free password support thread on the net. Hey we could even get official Dell (and others) support on board. But the way it is presently, is just a tad short of being classed as pathetic
Just my end of year thoughts.
