HP Omnibook 6000 - Master Code?

Can anybody help me please?

I have an omnibook 6000 hash code is 02974.
Looking for the master code.
Help will be much appreciated.

The master PW for 02974 --> dellfry don´t works.

I still can´t boot the system.

I thinkt something with the hdd pw is wrong.

This link includes many different alternatives ie DST CD; Contacting Dell; Shorting procedure; old masterpw; etc etc
If all options are tried and you still cannot resolve your password issue Google for other 3rd party option (this not being supported here)
TechSpot forums is free and manufacture support only

If no options work for you in that help link then your only option is to wait for someone to post a free password for you here, or try Google for some other 3rd party option

I notice that some members try to contact old members here. Be very clear that any payment option supplied (against TechSpots rules I might add) is the highest price you will find anywhere in the whole world. This includes links by members to another site, containing payment option.

Be smart, if you cannot be helped here, then go elsewhere (Google gives a few thousand hits, including eBay) A free tech forum is not the place to purchase anything ;)

Anyway who wants their laptop fixed on Easter day? Just wait for Tuesday (actually you can submit the change of ownership right now, support hasn't closed or anything :confused:

Every now and then a real member comes along and actually gets free help (usually by me I might add) I have successfully reduced the income to many spammers here and will continue to do so. Many months ago I asked if I could somehow acquire the generator (many options I gave) All I got back was stupid stuff, therefore I'll continue to stop any spammers here.

Anyone would have to be mad taking any payment option from a free tech forum :D :haha: (by link or otherwise)

I will summarize my problem - and if here is no solution for me, for sure
I will ask your friend ;)

My omnibook 6000 had a user pw (known for me) and a admin pw (not known
for me) and i think a hdd pw (?)

I cleared the user pw in bios and so I was asked for admin pw (I didn´t know) before
booting

by help of hpgl I got the master pw for hash code - THANKS!

I can now enter bios - all pw are cleared

But it seems that my hdd (which definatelly worked before) is still pw protected!!
Am I right??

Please give me a hint for a possible solution, I don´t want to loose all my data
 
misterminit if you were brave enough you would just let us know that you sought payment option from here (as crazy as that is, seeming it's much cheaper elsewhere)

You need to remember that I'm holding all the cards here ;) I just need someone to say this is whats happened to take action on a spammer member

you seems already lost your data.
last chance is use appropriate HDD data recovery program to restore files to another hdd.

hi again

i have tried many many time s to contact dell but because i can not find the original owner thy dont want to help!! i have even asked them to contact the original owner as they have there telephone number and email address (they must do as there asking me to give them their details to prove ownership) and alas they willl not budge.

@ mscrx - how can i change ownership without knowing the original owner??

and if anyone in the middle of englend who has the ability to read 1.8" ZIF hard drves and is willing to lt me borrow your equipment please let me know. my only hope is to see if the hdd has any clues to the original owner.

i am the registerd owner and i have been in touch with dell
they were helpful they gave me a password
but it doesnt work
i have e-mailed dell several times since only to
get an automated email response due to the holidays

after scanning disk it seems that data are still available.
the problem is following:
DRIVE IS LOCKED BY ATA PASSWORD

you know a MASTER PASSWORD for unklock
SAMSUNG MP0402H?

as no paswword prompt and you successfully scanned disk, your hdd not locked but lost OS. Probably you have formatted drive

I'm hoping someone can help. I own a dell inspiron 1720, service tag H6X8DF1 express service tag 37423914733. When I recieved this laptop I put a password on the harddrive. For some stupid reason this weekend I decided to remove the password. Needless to say, now my harddrive still asks for a password, but no password will work. I called Dell and paid for the "supposely master password" that one does not work. When the hard disk number is
#***5MA8JHYF-595B. Hoping someone might have possibly another password. The Dell Tech did not know anything about the a95 bug. I've read about here. my Firmware is A06.
In desparate need of help -- all my college class work is contained on this harddrive.
