Omnibook 4100 Hash code

Thank you for the quick response to this password conundrum. Unfortunately the password "careman" doesn't unlock the BIOS. The "Caregiver" who gave me this antediluvian laptop doesn't remember it.

After giving HP a myriad of info, they suggested removing the CMOS battery, which of course went to default and now makes this dinosaur crawl.

XP works fine, however I can't access the BIOS to speed things up and change the hardware config.

Any other input would be appreciated.

Dell D430

Hi all

I have become the not so proud owner of a D430. After falling for a 'i never got a charger so i never tested it' line im stuck with a D430 that only boots now and again. It still has warranty but the chappy i bought said laptop from is not the original purchaser and they dont know who is!!! so im trying to access the 1.8" hdd without wasting any more money on this paper weight, but lo and behold when it does want to boot it asks me for the bios password before letting me do anything else. So in short i need to get the bios password to be able to read the hdd to see if its got anything that can help me find owner number 1.

The laptop will not boot any drive without getting a password first. I have tried the normal obvious ones but to no avail. I have tried to find an EEPROM ship to shot but im not that lucky!!

any help guys?? if anyone had a password generator and is feeling generous i will be forever in your debt!!! #FTGNP3J-595B

thanks in advance

pete

Can someone help me? I am in need of a password to unlock the Phoenix BIOS of an HP Omnibook 6100 with a hash code of 03318.

And i have a question. With the help of hash code you get the master password for the bios, right? And what about the hdd pass?

P.S.
For all who are in need of a BIOS password for a HP notebook, to get the right hash code, when the notebook boots, press F2, like you normaly wan't to enter the bios, and if it asks for pass press F12 and you'll get the hash code. Don't make the mistake like me, as i tought that the service ID is the hash code.
Hope i helped you out there.

Dell Latitute master password needed

Hi,

I use my spare time to help local folks (mostly seniors from a bridge club) in the loacl area, by helping them setup their computers, install skype etc. and teach them how to use the software.
Last week for about the 5th time, I had to tell another nice old lady that the computer her son got her on ebay is useless without the bios password. Of course it can't be returned and the hoser is long gone.

If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. Is there anywhere to get the software?

shorting method works fine for the c640. the post above your post contains a collection of useful information - including paperclip method (shorting).

@Gemene: make your mom ask your dad for the password

@gmacon5133: call dell - the computer has 575 days of warranty left. you can claim ownership pretty easy and have the full service.

@petay: call dell - the computer has 772 days of warranty left. you can claim ownership pretty easy and have the full service.

@sadhad: call dell - the computer has 570 days of warranty left. you can claim ownership pretty easy and have the full service.

sorry folks but I don't understand why you rather wait for free passwords forever instead of making a phone call and fill out a form. the only reasons would be a stolen device or a lazy guy.

thanks for the link , but doesnt work for me

believe me , my head almost explodes after reading throug all those posts here ;)

try changing ownership with dell if u do not know the previous owner then state where u purchased it from ie, open air market, private seller and that u do not know their name
once ownership changed u can request a password
this may take up to 3 weeks but should solve ur problem

sayin that i have done this changed ownership and requested a password
and still the one dell gave me doesnt work!

but i ve good faith in dell and am awaiting a reply in response to my email hoping for a working password to be sent

i will let u know how things turn out on my next update

that 595b generator thing must be like the holy grail or something , after weeks looking for it the only result is a bunch of virusses :)

Well if you have Avira Free Antivirus installed, you should be ok ;)
By the way when I searched I got as far as Russian Servers and still couldn't find it
Obviously it's some strange name, that's unrelated. But I am astounded at the small amount of people that have this. Obviously Dell being one of them

You can contact Dell here: https://www.techspot.com/vb/topic100658.html
Anyway, they should always be the first point of contact.
