HP / Dell / etc. laptop password help thread

Not sure of wich password I need

Hi,

I'm posting again because I'm not sure anymore of the kind of password I need and maybe someone can help me.
My (old) laptop is an HP Omnibook XE3.
I changed the hard drive recently because it was dead.
But since that time, the HD is not recognized (so I can't install the OS), so I tried to enter the BIOS and when I press F2, it asks me for a password. Then I press F12 and I get a system hash code (05528). So is that what you call a BIOS password ?
If it is, can anyone generate it please ?
And if it is not a BIOS password, what is it ? And where can I find it ?

I hope somebody can help me !
Thanks very much for at least an information.

Sil

That post was made in 2007, and is now very old
All help supplied here for Dell users: => https://www.techspot.com/vb/post610782-4.html (Last updated 3 Days Ago )
Which is a reply to that post anyway ! (very strange  :suspiciou) I'll remove subsequent posts by you Obi quoting the same single post ;)

If all options have been tried in this post => https://www.techspot.com/vb/post610782-4.html then the only other option is to look elsewhere ie try Google

Please note TechSpot is free and manufacture support only, if you decide to go 3rd party option DO NOT take on any option for payment of services as provided by any member at TechSpot (past or present) These services are the highest price available, definitely Google other "cheaper" services.

All free and manufacture services are available here: https://www.techspot.com/vb/post610782-4.html
Note: I am the only support member at TechSpot providing this information to you it seems :suspiciou
ie if you want the best possible answer technically on how to remove your password I will provide it and have done so already in this single post.

IF this post does not help you, then search Google for other options.
.

No they are not
All linked info is around 2005
And I notice that other members (old time members have taken an interest in my post as well, that is good :grinthumb)

Here is the most up to date support that you never seem to quote

If no options help in that link try Google. Don't be suckered into the high prices that are supplied on a tech forum
Actually I remove the old alternative links in my post, being as they are useless and old. I'll do that now :) Done :)

In reply to Obi's removed previous post saying try some (word removed) site!

Lets face it, I'm the best tech support around here

No I don't have the sales support offered by other old members :haha:
Not only that, I would ban them on the drop of a hat if they posted 1 thing (spam related) on the forum (they are too scared to do that you see ;))

Oh I removed your not required link
Do not post that sales site again

Edit: Oh I removed your post too, it looked like you were editing it
I prefer to see the conversation out
Ie All spammers will be removed :)
Basically I expected a conversation like this, and I'm very ready for it

All help here: ==> https://www.techspot.com/vb/post610782-4.html

Edit:

Oh you signed off. I must have won :D
I'll keep an eye out for new members signing up saying they want to purchase passwords !
Or new members seemingly getting their password issues solved by old spammers
If anyone authentic posts, good luck you'll need it :)
Just look here first: https://www.techspot.com/vb/post610782-4.html if that doesn't help, then search Google for other alternatives

Oh and if anyone gets approached for high priced payment of services required here at TechSpot, please inform me as soon as possible
I wanted to clean up this thread by Easter :) But it's taking time.

Yes I would love to have Julio supplying info here as well
Please let him know that there is presently no other info other than what is already supplied here to help others:

This is confirmed by looking at all posts here and way into the past

really im dont stand?? every link are equals! i need unlock bios pass to model 595B this sells in ebay im not buy this i want obtain password free!!

Good for you :grinthumb

Go to Dell (all info given here: https://www.techspot.com/vb/post610782-4.html)
And get it done either for free, or pay the one off $49 if you are not covered by warranty

Here's some excellent direct contact info for Dell here to: https://www.techspot.com/vb/topic100658.html
One member just contacted them, and they gave it to them straight away (ie it's the best first option ;))

Anyway, if you are not able to short the pins on your eeprom PDF here: http://www.savefile.com/files/2059217
Then just contact Dell :grinthumb

I lost my bios password.
The syteme hash code is 08886.

Mitch

Mitch,
it is not polite to beg... Look carefully through the many many links here and you might just find the bios password you are looking for

Yes I've noticed that hpgl seems to be very particular on selecting members to help
As if, those members may even be known to him, it is very strange
I wonder if he'll help even poor runner94 up there, (and others) He seems to be authentic.
Obviously no :(
And he seems quite authentic too

runner94, you may need to try elsewhere (Google maybe), if you have tried all options here (which I'm sure you have)

Sorry no one could help you further

just an update...

I posted about 4 weeks ago about a friends dell 710m about password at power up.....i will con't with that in abit.... I was able to by pass what i thought was a HDD password but may not have been i reinstalled on this drive a "generic" version of windows XP pro. It prompted me to leave files as is which I did . I was then able to boot that HDD in my own laptop which i wasn't able to do before ....maybe this will help others not sure but thought i'd post it.
Ok back to my friends dell710m I am having such a problem finding any passwords to work mybe I'm doing them wrong but again any help with this laptop would be appreciated. She subsequently told me she updated the BIOS when it locked her out ...not sure ...so any udates on this would be greatly appreciated. oh it has a service tag of GGR3581

lol not for 4 weeks

on and off when ever i can get the chance or free time. Nothing new on this model ? She has told me to keep the laptop for getting her photos and documents saved off it for her so just curious now if it can be beat. If nobody is looking then know body will try to get it. I think i will just get a new motherboard for it for undr 100$ ....still worth a shot tho' wouldn't you think?

Hi all, I know you get this all the time but here it goes.

Bios password removal, please :)
The os is corrupt and I need to change the boot sequence but to do that I need to get rid of that stupid password dell put on there. I have spent much time on the phone with dell tech support and the claim that A. they don't put any bios passwords on any of there models(may or may not be true) and B. they have a master password but won't give it to me unless I pay 50.00$. I know a little about computers and I am trying to fix this for a older gentleman that I work with. He has limited income (or at least he seems to but you never know with that older generation), so I am trying to exhaust all my/your resources. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

wow thanx for the quick response and yes it 49.00. thanks for the nice read but as you stated no one seems to have the formula for my model(or they are not sharing). I will inform my friend that he will have to fork out the cash or let it sit. Thanks for the help again
