I can't sign-out my iCloud account in my Mac after i changed my apple ID email address

I changed my apple ID email address using the Apple ID website, then I tried to my mac and tried to sign-out in Preferences > Icloud, "your iclould account couldn't be removed at this time, turn off all icloud services and try again", yet, the icloud services are greyed out. Restarting the machine did nothing.
