I need some help

Hello everyone! I am a new guy in your forum. I need some help. I've decided to upgrade my video card. I have Dimention 3000, CPU 2.66GHz and Intel Extreme 2
Integrated Graphics. I've bought Nvidia G-Forge FX5500 , 256MB. I thought it would be easy to change it, but I was wrong.
1. I left monitor cable where it was
2. I pulled out old card
3 Put in a new one
4. Downloaded and installed all necessary drivers for the new card
5 Disabled intel graphics controller via device manager
6. Checked out if Primery Video Controller set to auto in Integrated Devices in BIOS
7. Turned off Windows
8.As I started windows again I saw a black screen.

So, what was wrong? Or what i've done wrongly?

Try VGA mode

As the computer restarts, tap on F8 until you get to an option screen where you can choose VGA mode and continue that way. This works if some settings are out of wack preventing you from seeing anything and thus being able to change it to something that suits your hardware.

6. Checked out if Primery Video Controller set to auto in Integrated Devices in BIOS

Don't set this to auto..disable this.

How can i disable it , if there are only 2 options in Integrated Devices in BIOS- auto and onboard?
