The point of thermal grease is to fill in the microscopic air pockets between the surface of the CPU and the surface of the HSF. Thermal grease fills in those air pockets and help the heat transfer (the ones that have silver in it at least). This allows for better heat transfer since heat will not be trapped in those air pockets.
Look for Arctic Silver 5 for thermal grease - definately the best out there.

For the power supply, just go with a wattage like 500W so that you're set for the future and future upgrades.

Do you know any good PSUs with 500W, Grafficks. It seems that I am having a hard time finding a good one. After that i BELIEVE i am set.

Also, What is a heat spreader for RAM? I saw some little things that wrap around the RAM and i have no idea what it does.

Yes that's a good power supply. Dual 18A rails on the +12V are a plus. Nice lights too.

You can take as much time as you need researching until you feel comfortable with beginning your build. Something you could do if you have the time is to Google up the name of each of your parts (or just the important ones) and find reviews for them, just to make sure you are getting the performance you want.

An informed computer build is more likely to be a satisfied one :)

Good luck!

thanks, for the past 4-5 hours of my being on the computer i have just been researching. Alot of the hardware i put in has no websites with reviews that i can see. mostly sites that sell stuff like Newegg, rarely do i see a good review. But I'm still looking :D. Which is better the power supply i just linked to on my other post or this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817104954

Also which is better:

or
