Improve video speed. Help me!!

Firsly, sorry for my poor english.

I have installed in my PC a NVIDIA geforce4 MX 4000 video card, that have a built-in video accelerator. But when I connect the video cature (MSI MS8609) to use my digital camcorder as a webcam, the video is seen very slow. There is some way to setup the system to improve the speed of the captured and the send video.

Depends on your transfer rate-I mean the speed of your connection. What type of connection you're using? (i.e USB, USB2, or Firewire)

I connect the camcorder to the video input of the externala video capture card MSI MS8609, ahd this to the USB2 port of the PC. How can I now the transfer rate-I?.
