installed new hard drive and when I turn it on it gives me a "non-system disk or disk error, replace and hit any key to continue." is there a bios setting or a jumper I need to change?
thanks
cant do it that way because it is a ultra slim desktop does not have extra slots or power coming out of power supply. old hard drive won't boot either that's why I bought new one is there another way. please help thanks
If neither the old hard drive, nor the new one will boot, isn't it possible that the problem is elsewhere?
I would remove and reseat all the cables. Then look at your SATA drivers.
could be thank you for your help, but before it failed it was the hard drive that had bad sectors and started giving me blue death screen, and I ran the self test that HP has in its BIOS on new hard drive and it saw it and passed, I'm lost need direction please help is there a jumper or something else i can try
