hi friends,
i have a newly bought PC of the following specifications:

Pentium D 3GHz 800MHZ
Intel Original D945GCL Motherboard
Transcend 1GB DDR2 RAM 667MHz
Seagate Barracuda 160GB SATA HDD
Zebronics cabinet and SMPS
LG 16x DVD Re-Writer
ATI Radeon X550 256MB Graphics card

I have installed Windows XP SP2 slipstreamed OS on drive C whose capacity is 40GB...on the first day, the PC was working fine...but on the second day, i dont know what happened but it took too much time to boot and to load windows...and the windows was also working at very slow speed...even i couldnt play a song...
Then i restarted the machine...but still no effect on its operation...slow...too slow...
Also, I have heard that the new batch of Intel D945GCL motherboards has got some problems regarding its SATA ports...many people have replaced their D945GCl motherboards with the higher version Intel D946 motherboard...
So, in which part the problem lies...? Is it hard disk or the motherboard...?
Or should I format hard disk and load Win XP SP2 once again...?
Also, could there be any problem in SATA power cable...?

Please help me out.....
